EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

HaGomel Seeks Experienced Bilingual (English/Spanish) Part-Time Expressive Arts Workshop Facilitators (Los Angeles & Ventura County)

HaGomel’s mission is to provide free expressive arts programs that support emotional and psychological healing for women who have experienced sexual and other trauma.

Position Description
HaGomel is seeking two Spanish-speaking Facilitators, one based in Los Angeles County and one based in Ventura County, who can lead in-person multi-modal expressive arts programs involving visual art, writing, music, movement, mindfulness, and or theater arts. All of our programs include at least two modalities.

Our facilitators will lead a 4-session series of workshops (every other week) with our community partners. We are currently working with partners in the Pico-Westlake area and downtown area of Los Angeles and are expanding to offer similar programming in Ventura County.

VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers are a key component of support for nonprofit organizations. Executing our mission to support emotional and psychological healing for women who have experienced sexual trauma may include volunteer hours to:

    1. Assist with program preparation or supply donation
    2. Assist with creative and artistic tasks
    3. Provide administrative help
    4. Support fundraising and public events

BOARD OF DIRECTORS OPPORTUNITY

Board of Directors

HaGomel is excited to announce we are actively recruiting new members for our Board of Directors. Given our mission, we are looking for individuals passionate about both the arts and supporting survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.

Board responsibilities include, but are not limited to, governance, strategic planning, fundraising, and acting as an ambassador for the organization. Time commitment varies throughout the year, but board members should estimate 3-5 hours per month. Attendance is required at HaGomel quarterly Board meetings (usually on Zoom) and is encouraged at occasional in-person events in the Greater Los Angeles area.
